International Outreach Programs
Helping Hands Society of Los Angeles extends our mission beyond borders through HHOLA Worldwide, which offers international outreach programs. We deliver food, clothing, and medical supplies to communities in need around the world. There are no limits when it comes to helping those facing life’s greatest challenges.
Guatemala Program
Helping Hands Society of Los Angeles extends its mission beyond the United States through our Guatemala Program, supporting children and families living in some of the most economically vulnerable communities in Guatemala City.
Guatemala faces high poverty and food insecurity rates, particularly among children. Many families struggle to meet basic needs, and access to consistent nutrition and educational resources remains limited in underserved areas. These challenges place children at risk of hunger, interrupted education, and long-term hardship.
Through this program, HHOLA Worldwide provides nutritious breakfasts to children attending local schools, helping students start their day with the nourishment they need to learn and thrive. In addition to meals, we support schools and families by distributing:
-
Books and educational materials
-
School supplies
-
Toys for children
-
Grocery bags for families in high-poverty neighborhoods

Our goal is to address both immediate needs, such as hunger, and long-term support, such as education and emotional well-being. By investing in children and families, we help strengthen communities and create opportunities for a better future.
